Upgrading Skydel?
Let’s Get Started
First, we will need to determine if your version of Skydel is upgradeable to the latest version.
You can review your current Skydel licenses by following these steps:
- Open Skydel;
- Click on the Help tab;
- Select About Skydel…​
The following information will be displayed in the About Skydel window:
- Skydel Version, SHA code, and release date;
- Platform name (if any)
- License dongle serial number and licensee name;
- Highest version of Skydel that you can upgrade to with the current license*;
- Number of Skydel instances that can run simultaneously (Multi-Instance);
- Number of spoofing instance(s) allowed;
- Features currently enabled with the license.
*: Although Skydel licenses are perpetual (lifetime), software upgrades and support are only offered for one year.

Upgrading Software on a GSG-7/8
Your GSG simulator can also be upgraded with the latest version of Skydel.
Every version of Skydel is able to run on your GSG-7 or GSG-8 GNSS simulation platform. Unless you have updated to a more recent version of Skydel, your GSG unit will have the most recent version at the time of delivery.
Because Skydel undergoes regular updates, you can update the software on your GSG to take advantage of new features, many of which target the GSG simulators.
How to check your version of Skydel on a GSG simulator
The current version installed on your GSG-7/8 will display on the splash screen and can also be found in the Help menu under About Skydel.
