From Essential to Premium, Safran’s support packages complement our industry leading product warranties, and are available to our customers to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency for covered equipment. Skydel-based systems users can choose from two support packages which are designed for lab, factory, and test applications. These packages are highly recommended for all GSG simulators due to the rapid evolution of the GNSS eco-system.

Best in class support

All systems are provided with a three-year hardware warranty and one-year software support.

You can choose from an Essential Support Package or a Premium Support Package.

Enhance your support package with the following options:

No Downtime Guarantee
This option ensures that you will never go without a simulator. We will provide a simulator on loan to you that is rapidly delivered in a hard-shell travel case. Use this same case to return your system in need of repair. This is an excellent way to guarantee that shipping, repair, and packing time will not impact the time dedicated to your critical work.

Skydel Configuration Mode License
Valid for the duration of your support contract, this option lets you install a hardware-agnostic version of Skydel on any machine. This version is used for creating scenarios and configurations and cannot launch simulations, nor generate RF signals.

HW Warranty

Safran stands behind the design, craftsmanship, and construction of all its simulation platforms. Our comprehensive hardware warranty covers chassis, ports, and all components including motherboard, CPU, GPU, memory and software-defined radios.

SW Upgrades

All users with a support package can take advantage of Skydel software and firmware upgrades to ensure their simulator is equipped with the latest features, advantages, and fixes.

With several releases a year, Skydel is upgraded on a regular basis to include new signals and services (e.g.: LEO PNT, OSNMA), enhance compatibility, and bring the industry’s latest innovations to your simulator.

Calibration

Safran recommends calibrations at (minimum) two-year intervals to ensure high quality GNSS simulation on both GSG-7 and GSG-8 platforms.

During a calibration, our team performs two types of tests: Hardware Test Reports, A thorough testing of every hardware component is performed, including all ports, fans, and peripheral connections. An oscillator calibration test also verifies the frequency offset of the internal OCXO. RF Power Calibration, This process consists of measuring the unit’s SDR under a wide range of parameters using a spectrum analyzer. This step ensures that the simulator’s RF signals are well calibrated.

Library of Basic Scenarios

Our engineers and support team have made an extensive library of basic scenarios available to users.

Scenarios include everything from tests, examples, HIL, scripts, and other useful items that can be accessed from our Git repository.

All scenarios have been tested and validated to get users up and running as quickly as possible.

Scheduled Engineering Session + Advanced Test Scenarios

Take advantage of the vast experience of our Application Engineers by scheduling one or more remote sessions (to a maximum of 4 hours). This can be used to learn a feature, help build a scenario, or consult on complex configurations.

Users can also work with Application Engineers to build 1 or 2 advanced scenarios per application feature.

In addition to our industry leading standard manufacturer’s warranty, our Service department also offers additional extended warranties to help customers bridge their budgets and keep their assets covered until the appropriate time to upgrade.

Extended warranties can be purchased separately for up to two additional years.

Online Forums + Certification

We offer access to a wide network of users and contributors on our Online Forums for support and general inquiries. This platform lets users save time and collaborate on best practices and alternate use cases. Users also have access to online self-paced certification courses that help teach basic, intermediate, and expert skills with Skydel.

Calibration*

Safran offers calibration services for your simulation products to ensure the accuracy of your profiles are not compromised. One calibration for the support package duration with shipping included.

Calibration packages can be purchased separately (shipping not included).
