Infleqtion and Safran : A Strategic Collaboration to Deliver the Next Era of Quantum Precision Timing

Paris, December 18, 2025Safran Electronics & Defense today announced a strategic collaboration with Infleqtion, a global leader in neutral-atom–based quantum technology, to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation precision timing solutions for critical infrastructure worldwide.

This partnership combines Infleqtion’s breakthrough neutral-atom quantum time and frequency technology with Safran’s proven leadership in high-reliability synchronization and global support, establishing a shared vision for resilient, GPS-independent timing across defense, aerospace, telecommunications, and national infrastructure networks.

As part of the collaboration, the companies have jointly validated a next-generation timing bundle that integrates Infleqtion’s Tiqker™ quantum optical clock with Safran’s White Rabbit and SecureSync® systems. The combined solution demonstrates unprecedented stability and resilience in GPS-challenged and GPS-denied environments – ensuring continuity of operations for mission-critical systems.

“In today’s mission-critical environments, assured timing is a strategic asset,” said Alexandre Lenoble, Head of GNSS & Timing at Safran Electronics & Defense. “Our collaboration with Infleqtion reinforces our shared commitment to delivering trusted, high-performance solutions that our customers can depend on. By combining Safran’s synchronization expertise with Infleqtion’s quantum timing technology, we are setting a new benchmark for precision and resilience.”

The collaboration underscores a shared belief that resilient timing is foundational to national security, secure communications, and next-generation infrastructure. “I believe our collaboration with Safran will transform resilient timing” said Matt Kinsella, CEO of Infleqtion. “By uniting quantum timing solutions with Safran’s trusted synchronization systems and international reach, we are laying the foundation for a new era of secure, precise, and widely accessible timing capabilities.” The validated timing bundle will be available globally in Q1 2026 through Safran’s established distribution and support network.
