Safran’s Skydel Eclipse: Converging LEO and MEO Features for Precision in GNSS Simulation
Skydel GNSS Simulation Software to Demonstrate Enhanced LEO PNT Capabilities and Full for Galileo OSNMA Support at Space Symposium in Denver April 8-11, 2024.
April 8, 2024 [Colorado Springs, Colorado] – This week at the Space Symposium,Safran Electronics & Defense will be demonstrating its latest version of Skydel, its GNSS simulation software. This latest version of Skydel offers groundbreaking advancements that focus on enhancing support for LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) applications, as well as introducing full support of the Galileo OSNMA (Open Service Navigation Message Authentication) service.
In its first major release of the year, Skydel introduces several key features, including enhanced LEO PNT capabilities that allow users to accurately simulate satellite constellations in low Earth orbits – specifically Xona’s PULSAR signal. This functionality enables developers and engineers to test and validate their systems for applications such as autonomous vehicles, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), and space missions with unprecedented accuracy and realism.
Additionally, Skydel now fully supports the Galileo E1 OSNMA signal, providing users with access to the latest advancements in Galileo navigation technology. This new signal enhances the security and integrity of GNSS signals, ensuring robust and reliable positioning and timing solutions for critical applications.
“We are thrilled to demonstrate the latest version of Skydel’s GNSS simulation software at Space Symposium,” said Guillaume Obry, Skydel’s Product Manager at Safran Electronics & Defense. “With enhanced support for LEO constellations like Xona’s PULSAR and the full OSNMA support, Skydel is spearheading advancements in GNSS technology, empowering our customers to develop and deploy cutting-edge navigation solutions with confidence.” For more information about Safran and Skydel’s GNSS simulation software, we invite you to join us at booth #311.
