STIM318 is a small, tactical grade, low weight, high performance non-GPS aided Inertial Measurement Unit (IMUAn IMU or Inertial Measurement Unit is an electronic device that measures the heading and orientation and velocity of a vehicle. It contains both an accelerometer and a gyroscope to provide necessary data to maneuver an aircraft or spacecraft, especially when GPS signals are not available.) with greatly improved accelerometer performance. It contains 3 highly accurate MEMSMicroElectroMechanical System. See also gyros, 3 ultra-high stability accelerometers and 3 inclinometers. The IMU is factory calibrated and compensated for temperature effects over its entire operating temperature range.

STIM318 is a cost-effective ITAR free solution for systems that only had FOGs as an alternative when reaching for the performance level of that STIM318 can offer.

Full-Scale Range & Features

The STIM300 family of IMUs has a full-scale angular rate input range of ±400 °/s and the output is
capped at ±480 °/s. Standard acceleration input range is ±10 g. Axis
misalignment of as little as 1 mrad is achieved by electronic axis alignment.
All of the IMUs in the STIM300 family product line require a single 5 V power supply and has a digital serial RS422
interface.
